Trusted AI made in ENSTA at CVPR 2024

From June 17 to 21, 2024, the 41st annual Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Conference was held in Seattle.

Gianni Franchi, an ENSTA Paris lecturer and researcher specializing in trust-based artificial intelligence, presented a paper outlining his team's advances in adaptive Bayesian neural networks, a crucial issue in neural network uncertainty management.

The best way to empty a water bottle

In an article published on June 4 in the scientific journal Physical Review Fluids, Aurore Caquas looks back on part of her thesis, defended in December 2023 at ENSTA Paris and conducted under the supervision of Luc Pastur with funding from the CEA. In it, she presents different ways of emptying a bottle of water by spinning it to create a vortex. It's not as trivial a question as it might seem, since it concerns the safety of future nuclear reactors.

How to make the most of decarbonated hydrogen?

This spring, the Student Scientific Convention of engineering students and scientists submitted 28 recommendations to the French government on the priority uses of carbon-free hydrogen. Sebastian Vallejo Jimenez, ENSTA Paris 2022 graduate and doctoral student at the interdisciplinary Energy4Climate center, was part of the group of experts supporting the young scientists.
