Search for "women and science day" speakers on March 8

In collaboration with the Les Entretiens de l'Excellence association, the Institut Polytechnique de Paris Equal Opportunity Center is organizing a "Women and Science" day on Saturday March 8, to mark International Women's Rights Day.

The aim is toinform and encourage 250 middle and high school girls to opt for scientific careers and engineering schools, through meetings with female students and professionals from the IP Paris school network.

The event will take place on the ENSAE Paris campus (5 avenue Le Chatelier, 91120 Palaiseau), as follows:

  • 1:45pm-2:00pm: welcoming students and speakers
  • 2:00-2:30 pm: Welcome and opening plenary session of the afternoon session
  • 2:45pm-4:00pm: first session of exchanges between students and professionals
  • 4:00 p.m.-5:15 p.m.: Second session of exchanges between students and professionals
  • 5:15pm-6:30pm: Cocktails for speakers

We're looking for ENSTA Paris graduates to take part in the exchange sessions with the students: presentation of their career path, profession and sector of activity, and answers to students' questions (it's not compulsory to prepare a support for the exchange).

Each student will attend 2 workshops chosen according to his or her aptitudes and interests, in small groups, around the themes of scientific sectors / professions:

  • Aeronautics / aerospace
  • Defense / cybersecurity
  • Sustainable development and environment
  • Energy and energy transitions
  • Education and research
  • Engineering and innovation
  • Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies
  • Digital and computer science
  • Women engineers
  • Health and biotechnologies
  • Transportation / mobility
