New President of Ingénieurs et Scientifiques de France (IESF)
|
|
|
Bernard Cathelain, a graduate engineer from the École polytechnique (1980) and the École nationale des ponts et chaussées (1985), was elected Presidentof IESF at the Board meeting held on Tuesday January 9. He succeeds Marc Rumeau, who will head IESF from June 2021.
Bernard Cathelain said:
" I sincerely thank the members of the IESF Board of Directors for this election. I am deeply convinced of the fundamental role that engineers and scientists will play in overcoming the societal and environmental challenges we face. In this context, I will spare no effort, accompanied by all the volunteers and permanent staff who bring IESF to life, to promote the engineering profession and strengthen the scientific approach" .

Discover the MOOC of the Economic and Strategic Intelligence Committee The IESF Economic Intelligence Committee, with the support of the UNIT Foundation, has launched an online training course. This free online training course (MOOC)provides an understanding of economic intelligence (EI) through the "5 pillars of EI". The platform used will also be the embryo of a dynamic portal designed to collect, organize and offer to as many people as possible educational resources on Business Intelligence. A digital certification badge (Open badge) will attest to the successful assimilation of concepts through an interactive test. A block-chaîné certificate from the "labellis" family will also soon be available. More information

Renewal of mutual recognition agreement with OIQ (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec )
Last December, IESF renewed its agreement for the mutual recognition of professional qualifications of engineers between the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), IESF and the Commission des titres d'ingénieur (CTI) .
After several exchanges between the OIQ, CTI and IESF, a protocol was signed on October 17, 2008 to recognize French engineering diplomas in Quebec and Quebec engineering diplomas in France (Mutual Recognition Arrangement).
Since then, a number of changes have taken place, leading to the signing of several endorsements and updates to the list of schools, the latest of which was signed in December 2023. See the list of schools on our international page .

Call for candidates: become an IESF director IESF is launching acall for candidates for 2024 to renew part of its Board of Directors. As every year, IESF will renew part of its Board of Directors with the announcement of the directors elected at its Ordinary General Meeting (votes will be organized in advance during the last 15 days of May). If you wish to defend the interests of engineers and scientists, become an IESF director and take part in its actions .
